Our Philosophy and Values

Kaupapa

Our mission statement:

Whakaarikihia to tåtou Rangatiratanga

Your success + Our success = Influences our collective success

Our mission is upheld by the following values:

Kaitiakitanga embraces spiritual and cultural guardianship. In our business, kaitiakitanga means the active protection of all things

deemed precious such as the environment, people, knowledge and traditional practice.

This means managing the business in an ethical and sustainable manner, setting clear strategic direction, accounting for resources

assuring risk and promoting strategies that sustain a viable future for our whanau and mokopuna.
Manaakitanga acknowledges the mana of others as having equal or greater importance than one’s own. This is generally through

the expression of hospitality, generosity, absolute care and regard.

It is about maintaining the profile of our business by offering high quality services and products. This is ensured by providing

effective, efficient and consistent management of our internal systems, structures and relationships.

This includes undertaking regular reviews of all products and services to ensure we stay abreast of the ever changing environment.
Whanaungatanga underpins the social organisation of whānau, hapu and iwi and includes rights and reciprocal obligations

consistent with being part of a collective.

It is the principle which binds individuals to the wider group and affirms the value of the collective otherwise known as

inter-dependence.

Whakawhanaungatanga includes establishing and maintaining strong reciprocal relationships, both internally and externally.

MokoPuna Solutions Ltd seeks to encourage a collaborative, whanau approach to all things we do.

This also includes exposing clients to a wider support network to ensure sustainable development opportunities. It is about strategic

and sustainable nation building.
Kotahitanga is the principle of unity of purpose, direction and the achievement of a common vision.

The organisational vision and mission are central to the strategic direction of our business. Kotahitanga in action is unity of intent –

that which allows and encourages individual expression but serves a common purpose. This means seeking out other like-minded

affiliates, moving collectively, supporting, strengthening and guiding the creation of other alliances.
Tohatoha is the redistribution of wealth back out to the contributing collective.

This means acknowledging everyone’s active participation in the achievement of our business goal and the redistribution or return

of benefits back out to the collective.

The presence of this principle indicates the true achievement of our vision.

Rangatiratanga is the expression of rangatira attributes including leadership, generosity, diplomacy, humility and sharing for the

benefit of the collective.

As a workplace, rangatiratanga is reflected in the autonomy and self-determination afforded to our clients. Personal indicators of

rangatiratanga include but are not limited to individuals being living exponents of;

Pono - honest, truthful

Tika - upholding what is right

Aroha - expressing our truths in a respectful manner

Mana - managing personal influence

Mauri - sustaining personal vitality

Wairua – encouraging spiritual capacity

Tapu – maintaining protective qualities, principles

When these are expressed, it is seen as the manifestation of a person’s Mana Atua (intuitive wisdom), Mana Tüpuna (ancestral

responsibility & obligation) and Mana Whenua (land responsibility & obligation). This serves as a code of conduct for staff and

clients.
